The Bolt Power

It was the final of the 100m men's event. The whole world was watching to see the new fastest man on earth. There were a few known names in the line up. The trigger went off. The sprinters dashed off the mark. In just under 50 meters, there was no doubt about who was going to win the event. Usain Bolt knew it too. Just as he neared the finishing line,he threw his arms up and flew a kiss to the  huge crowd. A new champion was born. And there was a new world record too. There was a good two meter gap between himself and the second fastest runner -something even legends like Carl Lewis couldn't manage. Strangely,Usain Bolt didn't start off as a sprinter. He played Cricket and wanted to play for West Indies. This is when his coach spotted his talent as a sprinter. There was no looking back since then. Bolt now holds the world record in both 100m and 200m. Bolt has three brothers and a sister. His father owns a small grocery shop. When he was young,he was told that with a defective spinal cord, he couldn't run fast. He proved it wrong and is now aiming to better his world record of 9.56s.
